Album of miscellaneous sketches, with some Australian views, ca. 1835-1880 / owned by David Scott Mitchell

Album of sentimental scenes by various artists typical of the nineteenth century. The album comprises material Australian and non-Australian in origin and features landscapes, towns, coastal views, ships, and portraits. Included are: Sydney Harbour views (from Watson's Bay);  Grass Tree by S.T.G.;  Lost children found by S.T.G.;  eucalypt trees by E. Thomas;  view from Mount Pamar, Blue Mountains by F.C. Terry;  portrait of two girls by Lillian C. [Brewer], Albion Mills Sydney, and portrait by Mary Severn (later Stephen).
