Information from James Dixson & Sons Ltd., May 1976, states that the 482 glass bottom mug is still in production and has been made for over one hundred years with this number on. Many of these mugs have been shipped to Australia by James Dixson & Sons.

'James Dixson & Sons 482' on inner rim of base. Inscription within grapevine on front below crown reads 'Design'd & Eng'd in Sydney 1863. Presented to I.R. Williams'.
