Administrative / Biographical history

Thomas Valentine Blomfield (1793-1857), after fighting in the Peninsular War, arrived in Sydney with the 48th Regiment in 1817. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1823 and then settled at Dagworth estate on the Hunter River. In 1820 he married Christiana Jane Brooks.
