Embossed on lower edge of mount ‘Talma – Paris Panel – 119 Swanston Street, Melbourne and at Sydney’; inscribed in ink on lower edge of mount ‘W.J. Wilson, W. Pitt, Peachman, George Coppin, Dr L.L. Smith, Tupper’; inscribed in pencil on reverse ‘The Bar of Theatre Royal Melbourne about 1865’.
