Administrative / Biographical history

As a veterinary science student and a member of the university regiment, Noel George Gash joined the army and served as a gunner in Papua New Guinea at the outbreak of World War II. Returning to Sydney, Noel changed his studies to history, taught at Sydney Technical High for four years, then lectured at Balmain Teachers College.
