Polack, at his rooms, George Street, this day, Tuesday, the 14th August, 1838, at ten for eleven o'clock precisely. Printed by J. Tegg and Co., at the Atlas Office, George Street". A ten-page booklet describing the conditions of sale; terms; an inspired sales pitch about the increasing profitability of investing in land in general, and Chippendale's Grant in particular; the text ends: "As the allotments are staked out, the Public are respectfully invited to inspect them on the Ground prior to the Day of sale; and for their guidance the Surveyor's Plan, showing every particular, lies for inspection at the Auction Rooms". The Surveyor was Peter Lewis Bemi, and Mitchell Library holds his ms. sales plan "Part of Chippendale's Grant : total sold by A.
