Binding Information

Terrestrial globe composed of papier-mâché, and covered with two sets of engraved and hand-coloured, varnished paper half-gores. The globe is set into a four-legged oak stand and encircled by an oak ring, upon which is pasted a decorative, paper horizon ring, illustrated with engraved and hand-coloured astrological signs. A brass meridian ring also encircles the globe, and is without the 'hour ring', or pointer. The name of the contemporary retailer (G. Ribright Optician), has been applied under the cartouche of the globe.
