First leaf of modern paper is blank. Three vellum leaves at end were blank, but have handwritten notes with words of an antiphon, etc. written before the edges were trimmed for binding.
Ms. In Latin, with Calendar only in French. Despite the binder's title of Missale Romanum, it is a Book of Hours.
Ms. written in France? in the first half of the 16th cent. The date 1526 has been placed by the artist in the upper frame of the miniature on 69r.
Script is first half 16th cent French lettre bourguignonne. Decoration is French in style: blue and red entries in the calendar; red rubrics; small capitals alternately in gold on red, blue on red.; large initials also in blue or pink with gold, white tracery. Small miniatures (50 x 40 mm) and large miniatures (95 x 75 mm.)
