Dixson Library copy at 83/388 has the bookplate of William Dixson (crest only). Bound in red morocco with marbled endpapers and sprinkled edges. Title page damaged and repaired, with loss of first two words of title, added in pencil. Map sketched on initial blank leaf. Manuscript annotations in Manuscript notes by Sir William Dixson (4 sheets), including transcription of title page, laid in. With two copies of extract from the Melbourne Herald, "Rare volume on early exploring bought by the public library", one tipped and one laid in. Mitchell Library copy at C127/ 1 is p. 81-87 only, Appendix and has a broadside numbered no. 7 "Petition to the House of Commons for Trial by Jury and a House of Assembly" pasted in. Mitchell Library copy at C127/ 2 has the bookplate of William Hilton Hovell and manuscript annotations to the reader by Bland.
