Date note

Dated from slide 17 of the box of 47 which shows the 'Wolverine' [i.e. Wolverene] which was in service as a training ship between 1881-1889 after which time it was broken up. Also slide 35 shows the hoisting of the British flag in New Guinea which supports this evidence as Captain James Erskine executed this in 1884
