Administrative / Biographical history

Geoffrey Forrest Hughes, World War I air ace, was president of the (Royal) Aero Club from 1925-34, and commander of the Air Training Centre at Narrandera during World War II. His father, Sir Thomas Hughes was a member of the State Upper House and first Lord Mayor of Sydney, elected 1902-03 and again 1907-08
