NOTES

General note

Price (in code & not coded) and 'Terry' in pencil on lower left, the last scored through. On back coded price is repeated, and 'Govt. [i.e. government] House C. Martens' is written in pencil probably in the hand of former Mitchell Librarian.

Signature / Inscriptions

Unsigned. Untitled.

Attributions / Conjectures

But confirmed Terry's St Luke's Liverpool (SSV*/Sp Coll/Terry/80 and his Barncleuth (SV*/Sp Coll/Terry/3), which have the same fine drawing of architectural details. The pencil used to write the word 'Terry' appears to be the same as that of the rest of the picture. The writing of this name appears similar to that on the back of SSV*/Sp Coll/Terry...

Date note

Dating, according to Moore's story of Australian Art, Terry arrived in 1850s.
