Pilot Alan Roger Kerle, of Taree, crashed his Tiger Moth plane in a backyard, located on Turton Road, New Lambton, New South Wales on 20 January 1953. The aircraft served with the Royal Australian Air Force with the serial T5458 and constructors number 83183 T325. It was registered as VH-AIX between 19 December 1946 to 8 October 1947 and 27 February to 21 July 1953, then registered as VH-KBX from 28 October 1982.
