Notes: A number of the landscape watercolours of Tahiti are painted on paper watermarked 1811, which suggests that the landscape images at least, were painted many years after the events they depict. Versions of six of these images, probably much earlier, appear in another album owned by the Library at PXE 949. The volume of sketches was transferred in 1970, from the manuscripts location A 563 to the pictures location PXA 563.
