Stephen Gibbon is probably the man in PXB 451/12 having his hair cut. The crew were not allowed to land in Antarctica and their photographs were confiscated and not returned.

Stephen Ernest Gibbon was born in 1891, son of Charles and Agnes (?) He was a builder by trade but wanted to go to Antarctica for the adventure. He was surprised his application to the Australasian Antarctic Expedition was accepted and he was appointed steward of the Aurora (? – see PXB 451/4 & 24). He married Linda G.
