Administrative / Biographical history

Frederick Peppin (1828-1911), together with his father and brother, purchased South Wanganella Station in the Riverina district in 1858. They acquired the neighbouring properties of Morago and Boonoke, ca. 1866. Peppin & Sons were sheep farmers whose sheep stock is still present in major breeds in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South America.
