Notes: B 108 - There is no internal evidence as to the provenance of this item or the name of the theatres. Previously attributed to Samuel Lazar by the Mitchell Library. Two notebooks are bound into this volume. The first part of this volume probably consists of salary receipts of performers in Adelaide. The second part comprises material from Brisbane. B 594 - Only the stubs or butts of the receipts remain. The original volume was rebound into new covers at an unknown date. The present front cover is the original boards and bears several miscellaneous notes and dates as well as letter in Hebrew. D.S. Mitchell bookplate inside front cover of B 108. "D.S. Mitchell" signature on front endpaper of B 108. "D.S.M." initals on back endpaper of B 594.
