Conservation note

All prints have been stuck to large sheets of paper with sticky tape. The sticky tape has deteriorated and the prints are coming loose from the sheets that have instructions for the printers.

Administrative / Biographical history

Born in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1907, Allan Gamble was an architect and artist. He was well known for the series of books and prints he produced of Sydney University where he was a lecturer in architecture. In 1979 Methuen Australia published his book 'Sydney: drawings' in a limited edition of 310 copies.
