Several photographs are inscribed ‘H.H.’ Probably the work of Lawrence Herschel Levi Harris as some photographs are similar or duplicate to photographs held at call number PXA 403 which indicate Harris was the photographer.

Administrative / Biographical history

Lawrence Herschel Levi Harris (1871-1920), radiologist, became interested in X-rays in the second half of 1896 and founded an X-ray unit at Sydney Hospital. In England in 1914 for the annual meeting of the British Medical Association, Harris volunteered soon after the outbreak of World War I. As a captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps he joined t...
