Notes: The provenance of this sketchbook is unknown but may have belonged to D.S. Mitchell as several Cawthorne pictorial and manuscript items were part of Mitchell's bequest. Some pages in the sketchbook are blank. The sketchbook is reversible as it has been used from the front and back. Page 10 bears a roughly made contents list. Pages 62-63 are smaller in size and loose in volume. The original brass closing mechanism on sketchbook is broken.
