There are two Charles William Collins who enlisted in the Light Horse on the Australian War Memorial World War I Nominal Roll. The first enlisted in the 9th Light Horse 20 January 1915 and was killed in action in 29 November 1915, while the other enlisted in the 1st Light Horse 11 September 1915 and returned to Australia 1 January 1919
