Titled, dated and attributed from plaque attached to frame
This painting is discussed in Robinson's Papers at A 7087 part A, which is the source of the attribution and date. In 1853 Robinson visited Rome, where the portrait was painted. Robinson also commissioned a portrait of his wife, Rose, which is at ML 26.
