Administrative / Biographical history

William Busby was born in England in 1813 and moved to Sydney in 1824. A pastoralist and politician, he oversaw the project which provided Sydney with a regular water supply from 1834-1837. Source: Australian Dictionary of Biography, Vol. 3, 1851-1890
