Charles Thomas Philipe Ulm, 1897-1934, aviator, was born in Melbourne, and saw service overseas in World War I, when he qualified as a pilot. In 1919, Ulm returned to Australia, and with Charles Kingsford Smith broke the round Australia flight record. In 1928, they made the first Pacific crossing from the United States to Brisbane in the Southern C...
