Administrative / Biographical history

Frederick Thomas Humphery (1841-1908) was a commercial agent and receiver who became a director of a number of public companies and acquired significant rural landholdings in NSW and QLD. Humphery was elected as a member of the NSW Legislative Assembly for the seat of Shoalhaven (1882-1887) and was appointed a member of the NSW Legislative Council (1887-1908).
