Notes: Some drawings have been mounted together on the one sheet. Nos. 5-6 are very similar views, except that No.6 is coloured. The town featured is believed to be Hobart. The wharf buildings seen at centre right of each sketch are similar to those shown in other sketches of Hobart held in the Mitchell Library (see T.E. Chapman's sketches in his ""Views of Hobart and Tasmania"", Dixson Galleries DG D23). No.9 may represent a military establishment as denoted by the presence of a figure dressed in red, similar to a solider.
